So you have pray when you're headed to Philly? How ironic.

I drove the freeways in Los Angeles for 13 years. Believe me... I'm very aware of traffic!

Driving the streets/"suburbs" of Saigon, DC and Honolulu are a real self defibulator as well.  ;)

My last trip out east, this summer, I thought the turnpike traffic was rather light, probably due to the high fees.

Ehhhh, maybe it's too late to throw my thoughts in on this, and I didn't read the whole thread yet, so maybe this has been covered, but...

This is a building that has apparently been used for prayer over a period of time, but only now when the group in question wants to renovate (a site that is more than two city blocks away from the WTC site, so the term "ground zero mosque" is ridiculously disingenuous) has this become a hot button issue. I asked someone recently if a Scientology center would be more palatable to the collective conscience - and got no answer, because the question itself is a little ridiculous.

Actually beanie that question would only make sense to someone who has a knowledge of Clearwater, FL.

Again.... this WAS a Muslim Prayer Center..... now to become a community/prayercenter and Mosque ...Big difference as this becomes what looks like an expansion. That aside.... I repeat..... WHERE IS THIS MONEY COMING FROM since the pot had less than $20,000 in it originally. There is a question on the monies, the people bring it in and it's origin. Homeland Security has it's hands full on this.....

In Spain ..at Sevilla. Some local people found a way to stop the
construction of another mosque in their town...They buried a Pig on the site, making sure this would be known ...by the local press. The Islamic rule is forbidding to erect a Mosque on "Pig soiled" ground. The muslims had to cancel the project ..this land was sold to them by government officials. No protests were needed by the local people...

Or just tell them the site used to be a hog farm.
