I'm with the announcer.... WOW!
Can you imagine what it was like for her mom, the first time she heard that voice coming from her daughter. Wow.

Hence the moniker . . .

Tool - Disgustipated (maszrum)

BTW - this animation was made as a school art project by a kid in Poland who was in 8th grade at the time . . . wonder how our arts education is stackin' up?

Just my personal observation: We need to give our kids time to just explore art and music. I watch my kids all the time and when it's my choice, I just let 'em play. Sure, they start off with the DS or SpongeBob, but when my back is turned they pull out the instruments, markers and crayons, and proceed to make a noise or a mess.

I let 'em.

I also play classical music in the car...and encourage dancing for no apparent reason.

Yep, I'm a wacko. But you sjould see some of the art my kids do and hear how on pitch they are at 6 and 7 yrs old. I need to get some formal piano lessons going, probably online. I'm just letting them be kids right now.

I've been listening to a lot of ambient chill music lately...my daughter likes it. Usually she makes me put on the classical station. Gotta love that.

There was music in our home all the time, whether it was the radio, or one of my brother's many rock bands practicing. We also had some extra cultural music... in our family it was a lot of beautiful  Italian music.

Here's Pavarotti and Meatloaf doing "Sorrento", a beautiful classic Italian song.

Torna a Sorrento (Come Back to Sorrento)

And Bocelli:
Andrea Bocelli - Torna a Surriento

And Dean Martin:
Dean Martin - Take Me In Your Arms (Torna a Surriento)

No video, but a great song. The Replacements have always been one of my faves.

Te entirety of the dreck that's been on America's Got Talent has been redeemed by this one performance. Simply Transcendent.

Jackie Evancho PIE JESU- Incredible,Top 10 Americas got talent.mp4-September-07-2010

I have listened to this about 15 times in a row and my heart aches each time. This - to me - is the musical moment of 2010 . . . .
