This was the book I'd been waiting for. I eagerly started creating and storing the ingredients for the trifle I was planning to serve in a month at my parents Ruby anniversary - scaling up the measurements for the forty guests. However, when the time came to make the trifle I discovered my eyesight had faded so badly that I could no longer read the recipe. Suffice to say the end result of my blind culinary improvisation severely disappointed my guests at the end of an otherwise delicious meal

To avoid embarrassment, be sure to memorise the recipes in this book before you start the preparation for catering at any large family gathering.

The thing is - you can influence the ingredients through diet before you actually start - um - cooking with them. So - lets say you're working on some Tiramatsu or something - - - you'll want to avoid beer for awhile and eat things like fruits or mild vegetables. In fact - you may want to go vegetarian for awhile - as vegetarians are reported in studies to have better tas----

Say - how does one get involved in those studies anyway?

And NP - again - I gotta say - you have a lot of time on your hands don't you? That is, when you're not working on a quiche or something . . . .

I appreciate your providing me with the opportunity for witty comebacks (ie. it's not time that I have on my hands  ) , however the truth is that I have my sources of information troll the net for me and pick up these odd tidbits. On my own I would have probably never found that, given my bad eyesight and all.
