CindyLouWho:
What are you doing to save money or stretch your dollars?  Share your ideas or ask questions here.  Maybe we will find new ways to have fun.  Do you know of a great place to shop for unGodly deals?  Anything is game.

TiFeMb:
Mrs.TiFeMb cooks extra, freezes whole dinners in tupperware. That's all I eat while away from home.
I also sleep on a floor instead of an apt.
We only buy coke & powerade when it is on sale, load up until the next sale.
Our grocery store runs 'bogo' sales every week so we wait for those.
Check out my hairstyle - Wahl special
I'm on the neighbors unsecured wifi network as I type.
free coffee at work
free coffee at Publix (grocery store)
work 3 jobs, 2 at gyms so I don't pay a membership.
take showers at all 3 job and use their soap

that's enough for now, getting sleepy...

lifefeedsonlife:
Buy in bulk. (Biggie)
Meat is considered a garnish at our house - not the bulk of the meal. (Saves a bunch right there.)
Quit subscribing to useless nespapers.
I get a haircut once a year. (Just cuz I think it's funny.)
Thrift Shop for clothes.
Converted to wood heat. (Gosh - I wonder how Cap and Trade will end up screwin' me with that?)
Bike instead of drive to work.
Make clothes for our little girl. (She's home-schooled so the "freak" factor for wearin' homemeade stuff isn't an issue.)
Make presents for Birthdays and Holidays.
Mow the lawn with a non-powered push mower.

NightmarePatrol:
Buy one get free deals at the grocery store.
Most food items are  bought on sale.
DIY haircuts. Wahl #1 all the way around.
Generic pop/soda (hey it's the only way to get black cherry!) unless there's an insane sale on brand name stuff.
Bake my own bread occasionally though there's only 3 days to eat it.
Generic products when they work as good as name brands (many do)
I've never really made a list off all the stuff...

TiFeMb:
Quote>>>>Wahl #1 all the way around.

My 6 year old son wants to use 'The 1'. His mother WILL NOT even negotiate. Daddy uses 3, that's as far as she will go.

Our faith believes that a woman's hair is her glory (long story, I can 'splain' offline if ya like) so nobody in our house get's a store bought haircut except Mrs.TiFeMb. And I am not going to be the one to eliminate the quarterly hair coloring, I like living thank you.

NP: Mrs.TiFeMb went to cut my hair once and FORGOT TO PUT ANY GUARD ON!!!! Swiped me right down the middle. We used the #1 to clean up the carnage but I looked stupid for about a month.

Worst part of that story: A couple of years later SHE DOES IT TO MY SON!!!! He had about a 6 inch pile of curls, she got distracted & went RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE!!!   He looked in the mirror & cried.  :'(   It took him months before he would even look at the clippers without running. We HAD to use the #1 to clean up that mess.

I have pictures for blackmail... :eyebrow:

was that less curmudg-ish?  ;)
