This weather is waaaaay to nice to be sitting around inside.
(I'm outside BTW! Although it's rare for me to be able to snag a laptop....husband and daughter both have one.)
Youngest daughter and my nieces are riding around in the field and I'm sunning myself almost literally in the middle of the adjoining feild.  Can't beat a day like today!  I'm actually going to use the oven today!

well i had my two nieces today, 3 and 8months.  wow i am tired.  i work tomorrow though.  it should be a slow day right before the holiday.  this weather is perfect, i have the windows open and a/c off. its really nice. mike actually flicked the furnace on for a few minutes this morning while getting ready for work.

we have another section of concrete driveway being poured tomorrow, cant wait till that is all done.  next week we have a very important medical appointment at cleveland clinic heart institute and i am getting a bit anxious about that.  i guess i should be glad we have such advanced medical options now-days.  when i get anxious i clam up, might not hear from me for a few days at a time.  for those so inclined, a prayer for mike would be appreciated.

so, any plans for the 4th?

I hope all goes well for Mike. The Cleveland Clinic is a definately a great facility too. I'll be thinking of him. I hope you guys are there and back with a big thumbs up from the Docs too.

Our plans for the fourth? Pool, grill, set off some fireworks, go to bed. Boring but hassle free. :)

Might as well bring up an old thread. So, how is everybody today. Beautiful in Florida and it looks like a slight warmup in PA. March should go out like a lamb eh?
I am going to be home around the tenth. I will prolly have to run the wood burner for about a month as usual but I've got a lot of wood unless somebody backed up and helped themselves. Another minus for living in the rural areas but it is worth it.
Somebody stopped at my friends house up by Norrisville and hooked onto her wood splitter and drove away while she was at work. During the day!!! Brass ones I guess!
Be my luck the owner would pull in the drive as I was leaving. No problem, I'm not so inclined to take others property. They prolly didn't even have any wood to split. Just sell it to get drug money. Oh well?    ??? ::)

Just popped in to wish everybody a Happy Easter. I have been lurking but am too busy to gather my thoughts.

I have been getting spiritual of late & am thinking about changing churches. I have been drifting since I left the Pentecostal church (2 years ago) and miss the vibrant worship. I totally missed another Pentecostal church here so I am going to check it out next Sunday (This week we are just going to do the Easter thing so the kids can be in a familiar Sunday School). As much as we moved around, I don't think our kids missed more than a couple of Sundays without Sunday School. I just want to go to a church that we can fit into real nice. I was an usher at my old church for 10 years, I miss being that plugged in.

(TiFeMb an USHER?!? ) The youth group kids didn't have a prayer  ;D

I am also in the process of purification, getting rid of some lingering bad habits, so if y'all could pray for me to have the strength to bind this issue once & for all, I surely would appreciate it.

Happy Easter to you as well. I've been up to my eyebrows in projects. I was just told I have to deploy an 11 node cluster with 8 dual dore opterons per and 64GB of memory per node. These will form a VMWare cluster that will house about 200 virtual boxes. I don't have the storage requirements yet but it should need about 30-40 TB of storage. So if I'm not around much in the next few weeks, please forgive me.

Best of luck to you on you forthcoming changes TiFe. That's never an easy choice.

Thanks for the well wishes. It means a lot. You guys/gals have been like a "virtual church" family to me.

I know, church is a bad word online, oh well... :insane:

We have been members of the First Baptist church out in Linesville for many years. The old church burned and the new one has been going strong for six years and growing at a high rate. Lots of younger people attending . Church is in the process of adding on already with an auditorium and more sunday school rooms. It really is too small right now. There is an 8:30 am service and an 11:00 am service. Coffee 9:30 - 10:00am. Sunday school at 10:am.
TIfeMb,,,,it really doesn't matter where you go. Please yourself and be comfortable with where you go. I give you a lot of credit for making good decisions for yourself  and your family. You are in my prayers.

Good Morning gang!

Tife, it sounds like we are in a similar place you and I.  We just joined a church here.  The youth leader and a couple members were here visiting the other night as a welcome sort of thing).  We have been out of touch for some time.  Ever since we moved out into the sticks.  My oldest two have been active in the churches youth group for some time but my work schedule prevents me from attending church at all and Mr Who made all kinds of excuses.  He has been attending with our son and I have been participating in a bible study twice a monh.  All very recent.  I am not real spiritual but I feel a need to explore this.  And I feel that everyone should give their children the opportunity to make a religious decision for themselves and how can they if they are nt at least exposed?  That is small potatoes compared to the health changes I am trying to make.  Someone at work recommended a book called "Skinny Bitch".  I read it.  Really liked it.  She is foul-mouthed and tells it like it is.  IT is not a book about getting or being skinny.  Well, that is part of it.......It is about becoming healthy.  It has a lot of information about foods we eat as a culture and what is is doing o us.  Meat and dairy and the meat and dairy industry.  I am disgusted after researching some of the claims in the book.  What they are about and how we've been duped.  As a gal who was smoking two packs a day and puttng down a couple pots of coffee a day two years ago (I have been cig-free for two years, 2 months and 19 days now!)  these are big thought processes for me to take on.  I am looking hard at the vegan lifestyle right now.  Getting more organic and giving up caffiene once and for all.  Small steps of course.  I am down to the morning cup or two but I really do love my morning coffee.  I want to feel better.  I hit 40 this year and many days feel like shit and I shouldn't.  Tired.  Overwhelmed.  I need to get more exercise.  My feet are on the mend.  (The socks do help!) and my thyroid is getting regulated pretty good.  The weather is breaking soon and it just feel like a good time - it feels right - to do something and quit thinking or talking about it.  I want to get healthy.  My husband is ten years older than me and could run circles aroud me most days.  That's not good.

So good for you Tife.  You will be in my prayers as well.  Keep me updated.

BH, hope you are feeling better.

Lock - the weather will be nice by the time you getting moving north.  My daughter just flew in from Pensacola last night.  And I saw YOUR daughter the other day when we were both picking up our kids at the church.  You have some incredibly cute grandsons!

Happy Easter all!  I have my family together (and it feels s good!)  Picked AF Who up last night.  Today is her birthday and I am all smiles inside having all three of my babies with me.

So CLW, sounds like you are making some life changing decisions. Not an easy thing to do. well, the decision is easy but the follow-through is the hard part. Best of luck. I don't know about the vegan thing as I could never get enough calories  in me to survive. Tell AF Who Happy Birthday!

BH, how are you feeling today? I hope you don't have that screwed up whatever-it-is that's going around.

Lock - You're leaving already? The weather is just starting to turn and April is the best month of the year around these parts!

My dad just got out of Westbury last Thursday and is now at home with his mending broken leg.  He hadn't see the inside of the house in 4 months and was anxious to get back home. He did mentioning something about just shooting him if he ever had to become a permanent resident there though.

Have a great Easter tomorrow if I don't see y'all before then.
