Bill has worked for 30 years doing the same job, and that says alot for him right there.  He is
young enough to enjoy vacations and his beautiful
daughter without worrying about his next business
call.  What many don't know is that Bill started off
his day usually between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m. each
day.  I wish he and Debbie and his daughter, Hope, all of the best in having more quality time
together.   If he gets into a new venture, I would
like to think that maybe now that his football team, the BROWNS, may choose him to advance
their winning streak!  Good luck, Bill.

$250 for a CLP Hotel room?  Wow.  I've stayed in some primo places for that in big cities.

You can say that again... ;D ...

....as Paul used to say-

.... the rest of the story....

....I see the one night rate for a 2-bedroom/kitchen suite at the DOUBLE TREE in downtown 'da burgh' is $678 night....

"Hotel Conneaut Room Costs vary from 55.00 to $250.00 per  night plus 6% sales tax, 3% Hotel Excise Tax and 5% CLP debt reduction  fee."

Wow...Plus 6% and 3% and 5%...there must be lots of monies flowing in that area... ::) ...

$250 is for the brand new Hotel suites, 1 or 2 bedroom, tv, a/c and kitchenette.   Not a bad price actually but I guess it depends on what you are used to.

Hey Wanda - glad to see you are back! I wish you luck in bringing the "Pit" back - I spent New Years Eve there a couple years ago - loved the ribs and toast!

With multiple weddings booked every weekend I would think the hotel suites would certainly be occupied.  If they are dropping several thousands on a reception, I'm sure most would pay the $250 for the nicest room in the hotel.  Be it the bride and groom or any of the wedding party and attendees, I wouldn't think they would have a hard time booking the suites.

I always look forward to staying in room # 300 for $55/night.  I consider it my "home room" when I come back to my loved Park!  I'll be there in a few weeks for the Spring Volunteer Clean Up. HOPE to see some of you there.

Doc, hope to see you over that weekend, I should be there both days....and it is spooky...I really didnt care much for that A&E show....too little time to explore it, and they almost mocked some of what goes on....I worked there one fall, alone for the most part, and I know what I felt there, and I'd sleep outside in the rain before I spent a night in that hotel....those young folks from that paranormal society are messing with things they don't understand....

I watched the Paranormal State show. What struck me more than anything is when they interviewed . . . um - was it Jean Shanley? She basically said that the legends folks talk about are just that. There is no historical documentation supporting any of these hauntings.

That being said - some creepy old places do have a unique energy all their own. That I won't quibble with.

My house is 167 yrs old. Now wouldn't you think some of the past inhabitants would make their presence know sometimes? This is why I don't believe in this paranormal stuff. ::)

Hotels are interesting though. there's a lot of different enegy moving in and out of 'em all the time. Some good - some not so good. And lotsa folks do things inhotels that they may not otherwise do at home . . .

I'm a firm believer in energy - but not ghosts. Lock - your house might just be a happy 167!

The historical documentation actually disproves most of the legends...legend says Elizabeth died in the fire....well, the hotel was closed when it burnt....that being said, the presence I felt there to me seemed to be young female....dont know why, it's just that everytime I felt it (and there were several), I got the immediate impression it was a young female....

Well if we make it up there this summer (and I'm going to try) I might try and surprise my wife with a night in the room (availibility pending of course). Though she'd probably want to bring all her equipment up and not sleep.
