Did anyone else hear that they moved the Pumpkinfest to September?  Sounds strange.

This is what was explained to me, so I could be wrong, and it certainly won't be the first time.  I think that the Park Restoration Group is having
a separate fall Octoberfest-type function, so that may be in September.

The Pumpkinfest is so successful that the committee knows that if some-
thing isn't broke, don't fix it, type of thing.

Like I said, I could be entirely wrong about what this, but this is how it
was explained to me, as I was concerned that the Pumpkinfest Group
definitely knows how to do a successful event since it draws around
30,000 plus or minus each year.  If anything, I think maybe some good
minds are trying to keep events going each month in order to keep the
Hotel as busy as possible.  I seriously don't believe that the first event
will take away from the Pumpkinfest one bit, but that is just my opinion.

The Sept. event has rides as well so I think it is not just organized by Park Rest.

No, Pumpkin Fest is October 8, 9, and 10.  There is a separate event called Oktoberfest that is September 18 and 19.

Octoberfest is in September?  I don't understand.

I know there is a contradiction there.  The first train out had a lot more riders including many of the press that were there. It may mean the first public view of the ride from the backseat.

Ooh what do they look like?  I love my one from last year - it's a dark seafoam green with the embroidered logo on it.

This year they are "paprika" with the logo. A really sharp color in the orange family, and the logo looks great on them!

I think Lisa is right on this one.  But, whomever took the video above,
thank you, thank you, thank you!  That is the only way I would get to
see the view from that high point, and it had to be pretty hard to film
while moving that fast.  Great job!
