Yep, ACTA was brought up in 2009 here on the forum. The implications of this are very far reaching especially when the word "transparency" gets slung around more like manure on a farm than an  actual goal we believe the government is trying to achieve.

There are aspects of government that will never be transparent we as regular citizens will never be privy to. The bait and switch tactics are the only thing that's transparent to me. Nonetheless ACTA got signed and it will be used as an obligation for the government to abide by it in some form inside our borders. The problem is only a handful of kids in the school yard agreed to this. What happens when all the other kids don't go along? Does their plug get pulled and we enact a data embargo?

Yeah - he signed and now says it's an executive order and not a treaty that demands Senate ratification. And he's supposed to be a Constitutional scholar?
It's a bad joke.
I'm beginning to be truly disgusted with the antics of this government.

Well, it's job creation, but it's kind of like eating yourself. Not exactly what the public had in mind I think.

How is this the POTUS's fault?
Democrats are usually against this sort of thing while Republicans love it.

Let it be known.. I think I am in the lower middle class. That being said... the only deduction I have ever taken was for dependents. I can't itemize anything to come out with a deduction. I do NOT expect to be able to claim on a VOLT or a new furnace or New windows and appliances.. I don't get back more than I pay in. I AM one of those who do believe, everyone should PAY something and NO ONE should get back more tax refund than they paid.

We have obfuscated this issue so bad... now we have about 50% paying any taxes to the Federal Government.

I have however fallen into the retirement bracket that , according to where I live, exempts me (SO FAR) from State and Local Income Tax.) That is the extent of it. I file for local taxes and State for my wife and even though Sharon would owe us money, we haven't gotten a refund sent to us in years. It isn't all that big and if Sharon needs it that bad.. so be it.

So..crux of this exersize..DO I PAY MY FAIR SHARE?? I think that I do and have always. ASS, GRASS or GAS... NO ONE RIDES FOR FREE!!! Someone always has to pay the ticket.

I just filed my taxes last night. During the Q&A process I got the option of looking at averages of what people have for income, deductions and so on. The average taxpayer had over 30K in itemized deductions.

Evidently I'm really slacking in the write off department. I am getting a refund which does not come close to what I already paid in. My wife already has plans for it though.

Add this to "What pisses you off"

http://blog.heritage.org/2012/02/19/chart-of-the-week-nearly-half-of-all-americans-dont-pay-income-taxes/

I go back to what I had stated day one... Tax Form print

After you fill in who you are and who you work for

Line 1.... How Much Did You Make?

Line 2.... Flat Percentage Of Tax You Owe

Line 3 .... Pay it

One page...LOL one paragraph.

"Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's" ( Quote Jesus)

Hmmm sounds like separation of Church and State Day One??

We have a nation of uber-rich who are claiming to need to pay more tax and DON'T and others, not so well of,f PAYING. In fact, you will also find that it is a large amount of Charity Money that comes from the Latter.
