Let us know how it goes. He left one other time and was found and returned. Be sure to check Shiny's place for him regularly too, in case someone brings him in.

Check with local vets, and neighbors who may have outdoor dogs. If Scooter gets hungry he'll smell the outdoor dog food.

Another thought, since it's snowing can you follow tracks? Can you bring Mama dog out on a lead and see if she can sniff her way to him, or at least what direction he went? She would know which way to go.

i did leave dog food out for him. tried with dyna yesterday to no avail. there was no snow yesterday to follow him. i saw the direction he went in but no luck. talked to CCHS today & left a description of him, he was not there, as the girl checked for me. she did take my contact info incase anyone calls to report him. Trying to hang posters up today, but the wind is pretty fierce up here.he does have a thick coat so maybe that will help him stay warm. hopefully he found shelter in someones barn? will keep everyone posted.
thanks for the prayers & well wishes.   jim

His thick furry coat will keep him warm. Don't worry about that.

Check with the local vets, because people will call or bring in a stray (rather than to Shiny) to see if anyone is missing a pet.

No collar... he looks scruffy just because of his fur type, so someone may think he's a stray. Check with the local police departments and state cops too since they are out riding around. Who cares if they think you're sentimental. They have K9's that they love too.

I posted this ad for you on DDL. I wish I had more traffic from that area. Can you contact the local newspaper in Conneaut Lake? (I can't think of the name of it....community news???) Tell them they can use my online ad to put on their online edition. This ad (below) links to this page: http://spottydawg.com/scooter.html

I found the link PP to the Community News contact page. Try them for help. They can link right to the "Scooter" page I put up thereby saving them space.

Jim - I'm so sorry to read about your missing dog.   He's adorable.   You might try calling the Meadville Tribune (724-6370) to see if anyone phoned in to list a free found ad, or call the Meadville radio station (WMGW 724-3839).   I'm not sure if they still have it, but they used to have a "Pet Patrol" segment.    I'll print out a couple of ZIP's ads & put them up at the library tomorrow.
