She looks identical to my "Dottie" and she is full blood registered

"Dottie" is a nice name too for a Dalmatian, or Harlequin Dane. LOL

How'd you decide on "Dottie"?

Just got a phone call.... the stork is on the highway and headed our way. It should just be a couple of hours now before he arrives.

 :)

Thats Great...WOW you are sure going to have your hands FULL... ;) ...

YIKES!!! I know. We were a three-dog household previously, but this is a bit different since two will have arrived within a day of each other... and one is bigger than some mini-horses.

Trivia for you......Does anyone here know the meaning behind the name of the term (and also the band name) "Three Dog Night"?

Someone emailed me and suggested "Juliet" as a name because it's Valentine's Day.

Answer to the trivia....

THREE DOG NIGHT - Inspired by an Australian Aboriginal custom of sleeping with a dog for warmth on a cold night - a three dog night would be very cold, plus the band had 3 lead singers.

Here's our little bundle of joy....!

150 (just a rough guess) pounds of slobber and slime. :)

He's a big boy, a Merle, and very friendly. His name is Reilly, and because he's six we're not going to change it.

He's very nice around the other two, but there's a lot of excitement so we're letting them meet in small doses. Right now Reilly is sleeping beside me. He needs some time to get adjusted to his new surroundings, but already knows where "outside" is and where the treats are stashed.

The other two are getting along like old friends and are napping in the master bedroom.

All is quiet for now.

:) Enjoy the new member of your family.  My dear furry friend is now 10 years old and I have been thinking lately that I need to get a younger dog so that I am not alone when Maxine passes on, but I am not sure I am ready.  So enjoy seeing your dogs.  Good luck.

Hi Janet. I am glad you like my ramblings. Sometimes I just post and never know if it's helpful to people or not.

It has been three years since we lost our Jake, and then Joey passed in October, so while I don't feel as though I am replacing them, I do feel like I am providing a home for a dog that needs one. ...Maybe two if we can't find the owners of this gorgeous Lab, or find her a home. All I know was I couldn't leave her out in the snow once I knew she's been out there a couple of days already.

You know, dogs are so appreciative of some basic simple kindness. I fed her as soon as I found her, and she licked my hand, laid down in the back seat of my car and slept on the way home. Poor thing was probably pretty stressed out.

She is very sweet. Not a peep out of her yet, and is housebroken too. I'll take her to the vet and see if she has a microchip in her, or if the area vet recognizes her from any rabies shots or wellness visits.

It really makes me feel for Scooter. I hope someone has him. I really hope it's someone kind. And I hope they take him to the vet and get him meds for his seizures.

I am still holding out hope that he'll turn up.

I just placed an ad for Scooter in the Tribune to run for three days, courtesy (mostly) of Locknuts' donation to the cause.

I also placed a found ad for the Yellow Lab I found in Cochranton.

Both ads will start running tomorrow.

All is going well here. All three dogs are really nice so they seems to be getting along. The big guy does have one little issue... he likes the big bed in the master bedroom. Mr. Zip says no-no-no. (me too)

The big guy weighs in at 158 pounds. (I checked his papers from his last shots).
