i was  a little  afraid of Rot's myself. then my sons friend had 1, couldnt keep him, so we took him  in. i fell in luv with him. he is the sweetest dog ive ever had.  but i will say, he does not get along with other animals.  but as far as people, he is a  pleaser.

Boggy, I am doing PT for my recovery from H1N1 pneumonia, for strength and stamina. I love it, actually. It is very good exercise but never "too much" or "too hard".  I go to the MMS outpatient PT at Grove St.

$82 bucks later he likely has a UTI and is on abtibiotics for 14 days.  I didn't opt for a urinalysis.  Why are vets so expensive?

At least he's on the antibiotics now.

Poor baby. Wonder what caused it? Did he have any other infections?

That's one thing about cats, they will shred furniture. I never had one that didn't claw at the carpet or the furniture. I never declawed mine though, but it was because they were indoor-outdoor cats. I always let them go out if they wanted to, so I felt they should be able to fight or get away if they needed to. I know the back claws will help get them up a tree in a hurry, but not so good for protection.

My male got feline urinary disease once http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=feline urinary disease&aq=f&oq=&aqi=  and I had to rush him to an emergency vet in LA. They put a cath in him and he had to keep that in overnight until he was able to see his regular vet. $400 later... he was fine but they wanted him on a special diet so it wouldn't occur again.

I think at the time they recommended Science Diet. I kept him on it for a long time, then another company came out with something similar so I switched. He lived to about 19 years old. His name was "Bud". He was a yellow long-haired tabby. Really handsome for a cat.

I had 4 cats then, Pookey, Bud, Muffin, and Samantha. I flew them home with me when I came to visit, and flew them back, then when I moved home we drove here together.

I found Pookey when she was no bigger than my hand. She was walking down Hollywood Boulevard in the gutter.... tiny little thing. She lived about 21 years, then had renal failure. I should post pics of them. Once Pookey was lost for a couple of days when we had an earthquake. (it was a 6.1) They say pets know when it's going to happen. After the quake, I saw her huddled in the windowsill. When my room mate opened the door she took off outside and hid in the shrubs around the building I think. Anyway, a couple of days later she came home.

Scary stuff, those earthquakes. My heart goes out to those in Haiti right now.
