Not one word.  It would be cool if someone could give him a ring.  Has MsP been on?  She might know something......

anybody heard from the pest man?
If you haven't seen the post by KAYLEE yet about pest, it is on the CLP Report.  I think I have an idea of what is going on.  PEST has not contacted me and I know we are all thinking about him and wish him the very best.

I'm so excited. We get our big bundle of joy today. I feel like the stork is coming. :)

And while searching for an image to express my excitement I came across a website called....
(get this...) "Dogs&Storks.com" .... no kidding! A website dedicated to introducing the family dog to the new baby.

Unfortunately the foster family called and said they couldn't make it up today... so we have scheduled it for another day.

False labor I guess. :( ~LOL

We'll try again on Sunday. I'm a bit disappointed, but can wait a little longer.

Oh my. Remember how I said before that dogs have a way of finding me?

Tonight I stopped at a convenience store in Cochranton, opened my car door and this beautiful little dog practically jumped in my lap. I looked around to see if her person was close by, and wouldn't you know it, no one in sight. I could see in her eyes she was needing some help, so I opened up my back door and she jumped right in. I had some dog food and treats with me.  Ever since Princess, I tend to keep an emergency kit in the car in case I find a stray. I opened up a tub of food and she ate while I went inside the store to see what they knew about her, and to leave my business card in case someone came in looking for her.

They told me she had been hanging around for a couple of days, and that they had called the police to report her but no one had come to pick her up. Knowing where she would end up... Shiny's place...  I took her home.

Of course Mr. Zip loves dogs too, and his compassion is huge. But we're expecting the Dane tomorrow!

She's sitting here beside me, and the Dirty Dog is giving her the once-over, but they seem to be getting along.

She's really pretty, definitely a bit smellier than I like an indoor dog to smell, but a bath will have to wait until she's comfortable here.

Does anyone have any newspapers from a day or two ago? Check the lost ads and see if anyone has lost her.

She's in good shape, clean ears, nice nails, definitely an indoor dog. She has a collar but no tags. She is likely someone's lost pet. She looks like a yellow lab mix.

I'll put a found ad in the paper for her on Monday and see if I can find her owners.

After looking this girl over and researching Yellow Labs on Google, I don't think she is mixed with anything. Her coloring is beautiful, and what a sweet girl! Housebroken too.

I need a name for her while she's here. That's kind of tough, not knowing what her name really is. Any suggestions?

You know what's really sad? Even if I thought Shiny's place was the most perfect Humane Society in the whole world... (cough... cough...) I would not be "allowed" to bring this beautiful sweet dog there for help, and in fact can not even report her... unless in writing... to Shiny. http://www.spottydawg.com/attletter.html

Gee, do ya suppose I should write him a letter?

There's something very wrong with this picture. This includes their board of directors, as it is listed on the legal document that the board of directors instructed Shiny to "advise" me. They are equally as responsible, in my opinion.

The whole situation is an embarrassment to our community.

Just got a phone call.... the stork is on the highway and headed our way. It should just be a couple of hours now before he arrives.
