Pest,
Although I have never met you, I can infer from your postings and your interactions with other posters that you are a good, honest person. If you are able to drive or find a way, I have a pest problem at my "cabin" in Parker, PA that I need worked on. I have a plethora of flies and ladybugs every weekend to deal with despite constantly vacuuming them up and I wish them to disappear. If you are physically able to make the trip and do the job, I will gladly pay you for your gas, travel time and your normal fees.

p.s. There are a bunch of geese there also that I would love to be rid of too (No questions asked)

Actually along the river in Perry township Clarion County.
BTW my wife did her undergrad and Masters at Clarion in Speech Path. We love to go to Autumn Leaf for the fair food and atmosphere!

I used to work in a group home nin Foxburg in the 80's. We'd walk down to the river on occasion. It's beautiful down that way.

Oh Pest.
It's not about me.

Now you have to find homes for ...how many... ? ... where people will be kind to them, not chain them up for their lives to a crappy plastic house... and there's so much to consider. I can help direct you to a rescue in Erie that can try to help find homes for the puppies, but even at their best, there are no guarantees.

Sadly, it's even harder for the mixed breeds. So many animals are needing homes, and there are no good homes for them. The shelters are full of them.

I took photos of a house a couple of days ago with 6 dog houses, (3 visible dogs chained to plastic houses) on a hill, with no level land for them to sleep on, stand on, or anything. Their houses are crooked from the hill. Imagine trying to sleep in a dog house, slanted, from being on a hill. The dogs didn't look skinny, but this is no way to live. The other dogs may have been in the houses, I don't know.

The owner probably doesn't see anything wrong here. Some of the conditions of the houses are not adaquate enough according to the law to preserve the animals body heat and keep it dry.

If I had known you didn't have Dyna spayed, I could have directed you to a low cost spay and neuter clinic... in fact still can. She's still going to need spayed, or it will happen again and again.

Of course, it's probably going to be more difficult for you if you are going through some tough times yourself. Believe me, I care. Let us all know what you need and maybe collectively we can help.

No visible floor on the doghouse here, and a busted out wall.

Chained for life.

Note the absence of any toys for the dogs to play with.

Don't people understand that they are loving breathing beings that want to play and run, and contribute so much to our lives. To chain them up for years.... it may be legal, but it's just not right.
