OMG I wish I could have one. Three dogs would put Mr. Zip over the edge. He just spent a bundle on a vet-check up for the Dane, and heartworm preventative, and flea and tick treatments for them both.

Cleo and Throttle are so cute!

CLW, absolutely! once they "evolve" to maturity they become 1 with the family. what i mean is, you dont own them, they own you!! sometimes they are more like parents. they tell you when they are hungry or want to go outside! did you ever notice at bedtime, they look at you as though to say young man/lady, it's time to go to bed! lol!!  :D

Mine definitely tell me when it's bedtime. They get snacks before bed, so they are always anticipating them.

Speaking of, I looked at Shiny's site a few days ago and it is all re-done.

I see that. Looks much nicer and doesn't have "Warnings" all over it of you post one of their pictures or link to them.

I wonder what happened to the (sadly) murdered victim's Shepherd that bit the cop?

It's pretty old.  She's still quite spry too.  Sleeps alot but still eats real good, plays and goes outside for a spell everyday.  She came to me declawed in the front and every now and again we find a back claw on a window sill or some such place.  She has lost a couple teeth too.  I figure one day she'll just jump up on my bed and take the big nap.

That's what  a good shelter is supposed to do. Work with the people. Help. Provide services. Rescue. Bring about awareness for issues involving pets, like spay and neuter. Help provide low cost spay and neuter. Find good homes. Be humane to animals AND people in need.

I know the ANNA Shelter is good. I am so glad Ruth will help and especially happy she'll help spay Dyna!

And just so you know... I had little to do with this one other than to give Pest the referral and tell him who to talk to. That they reached down into Crawford County to help Pest speaks volumes for them, and their dedication, and a lot more about what we have going on down here....

Hooray for the ANNA Shelter.

Zip, i  do understand what your saying.  like i said  before, i did not know that you could get those kind of  dogs at a  shelter. thanks for the info.  that pug  was adorable, i luv them. if i could have a pet,  i would like to have a pug, or a boxer,... i know.... big difference..1 is tiny, the other big,  but thats what i  like.  ty for educating me, and  every one else.

anytime zip!!!!!! the pups are playing right now, with me of course, as hopefully their last night here, i miss them already, but i know it is better for them to be where they can be loved individually!!! they are gonna run free tonite. no cage, cause i love them!!! usually caged, which is good training. but i will cry when i let them go at the anna shelter, but i know it is for the best for them.
