That's more like the cup of shame. That's one itty bitty dog.

She's actually 11 pounds. Not a giant by any means. The vet says she'll be about 16-18 pounds when she's an adult.

too cute!! poor pup!i had to use one on dyna at 18 month when she had surgery to repair what the vet said was "intestines all in a ball, she had to literally take them out & lay them back in so as not to be twisted, died two times on the table. long road back for her, but here she is 5 1/2 yrs old & everything is fine! doc said she was born that way, but i think it was cause she was rough housing with the neighbors lab just days before........

At 11 pounds she's hardly a tea cup sized dog and she doesn't think she's small as far as I know. At least she's not yippee.

The collar one size up from the smallest. She's not quite 6 months so she's got some more growing to do.

Yawn.... (wiping sleep out of my eyes now)... Great time last night. It sure was hot! I melted off two layers befor the evening even got started.

For all those who came out... now you know. :)

Today is my 6 month home re-inspection for the Great Dane rescue. Won't Reilly be surprised to see his Foster Mom and Dad again! I know they are looking forward to it.

I think it's wonderful that this rescue does follow ups and checks on thier adoptees. In this case the foster-family will be driving from a couple of hours away to make sure that Reilly is living comfortably.

BTW... He and Stevie are getting along very well now. It happened a couple of days ago. They both went outside (with our supervision) and after the initial sniff, Stevie rolled over (submission) and that was it. Not so  much as a growl or a bark. Now all three playing together like old friends.

All is good. :)

Got a country drop off.  Pretty darned sure he's a drop off.  No one has seen him or claims him.  I have a sign in my front yard:  "Found: blah, blah, blah phone #"  .......Cute black and white pup.  Will get some pics and maybe you guys can help me figure out what he is.....if he will still still for a second!  Nice markings.  I just can't believe people do this kind of crap.  Neighbor has a friend who may be interested.  I do NOT want another dog.  AT ALL.

Turn up the sound ( No Gator/gore this is not a test of your audio equipment) you can hear the birds at the other feeders too.

We went to look at an 11mo black lab that was rescued from the shelter. The lady has to take care of her mom so she has to give up the dog. Very well mannered, kinda jumpy. Would not bite even if you had food in your hand, or took food away. Looks like a lab-shar-pay mix (face). It had some sores that were healing, and a few bumps on her, like tumors. That wasn't really the issue.
We started talking about the time it takes to REALLY take care of a dog, and were explaining to the kids what it would mean to their free time (they are 6 and 7, they have no concept of time)...and my wife gets cold feet.(!) This is the person who has been begging me to get a dog for years.
It looks like we are going to pass on the dog, it won't really fit our schedules and it isn't fair to the puppy, who would have to be RE trained anyhow.
Now I need to go look for some spare time...
