I dealt with Gerta for my Basset. We took her(my Basset) to the house and they took Penelope to the Vet to be spayed. I picked her up the next day and the price is right. My son even had a cat done this way as well. A good service.

My wife and I love out Basset, Penelope Rose. She is one of 11 born of a rescued Puppy Mill Mother. I took a picture of her to enter in the Herald Pet Contest last year and will not be sucked in again.

I found out early that the Contest is rigged or at the very least dishonestly swayed with the intent on donation only...not the honesty of actually voting on pets.

I found that the owners were arranging to stack votes on their own with money they would have donated anyway. One day into this years contest and pets have 100 votes already... give me a freaking break.

It is a shame that something like this would run on it's own with an honest parameter.... but I guess if the owner needs the prize that bad..so be it... but nothing from my pockets.
Besides, Penny is always the winner in our household. Sometimes we just lose a reality check in order to ruin a good time. Good luck to the "winners".Some people just suck the fun out of everything...
