First thought that came to me was where's Gore?. There's his bike. The other is whats with the chair?

I used to hang out in the parks around Denver when we had the opportunity to escape Lowry AFB...I see the base has since been decommissioned.
 
The picture reminds me why I fell in love with that town...

Gore, nice backdrop. Looks like a clear day. Whats the distance to yon peaks?

....the peak on the right edge of the photo  is Longs Peak, the sole 14-er up in Rocky Mountain National Park; and,  it's 58.72 statute miles away....

    ....the peaks on the left are 13-ers up in  the Indian Wildness Area, near Rollins Pass & the Moffat Tunnel; and  they are 51 miles off; Winter Park is located just the other side of  those peaks....

    ....the dark shades on the front range peaks  and foothills reflect our extremely dry winter as usually at this time  of the year it's a solid white band, even down on the lower elevation  foot hills....


    ....though, the water sheds up the other side  of the continental divide are currently only a bit below to their  seasonal average snow fall....


 
  ....hopefully we won't have a rapid warm up  come Spring which can cause the snow to go right from solid to  water evaporate directly by-passing any liquid run-off and needed watershed replenishment- makes for a long hot high-desert summer here at the bunker....

Husband just left Maryland.  Said they had to leave cause people are actin nuts.   All the batteries and bottled water have been cleared from store shelves.....they are not sure what their capabilities are as far as maintainin roads so they fiured with people freakin out the way they are, they better et out while the ettin is ood.  They stopped at one as station where the cars were lined up down the interstate at.....waited a half hour at the next.   It is nice to know if I ever move south I won't have to panic if we et a snowstorm!
