When I lived in California, people would get nuts when it drizzled rain. Absolutely couldn't handle driving in it. Accidents all over the road... for a drizzle. I know they get heavy rains at times, but we're talking intermittent windshield wipers.

Yep, if three or more drops of rain fell out of the sky in California it was "Stormwatch" all over the evening news. Of course out there most of the wiper blades would dry rot before they got used five times.

They go nuts here when a hurricane develops ANYWHERE. The freakin' media whips everyone into a frenzy and Home Depot amd Lowes get into the act.

From the Cellar image of the day we have this. It seems a California entrepreneur had a patent granted for a new type of coffin that can be simply drilled into the ground, kinda like a big drywall screw.
