We got to fairgrounds for the gun shows and yes there's a lot of walking possibilities there. Strangely enough we've never been to the fair there.

Interesting. You know she finally admitted that she was never in MENSA. Did kids really ride tractors to school????  Not an exaggeration??

I'm sure that somewhere in the county it's happened. Certainly not at any of the schools he went to though. She used to date my cousin and a friend of mine. I ran into her a couple of times while I was at the Boro. (whoopdeedoo) but never when I lived in LA. I know of a few people that rode her coat tails out there and are tied to the business in one sense or another.

And on a more important and meaningful note, a few buds on my azalea are starting to open already.

Weird electical issues here for a couple days.  No WiFi.  Ugh.  Up and running again.  Glad it was an easy(inexpensive) fix cause we now need a new stove/oven.

Funeral today.  Double ugh.  Father of childhood friends.  Is there anything worse than a funeral?  No.

Funerals are bad..but it means peace for the one who passed.

What I dread is Weddings where you know the consenting parties are going to be at each others throat in less than a year and filind for Divorce soon after...And all of this after you shelled out for a $100 gift...Hmmmm Just something nasty about that as well.

I have been to my share of both...neither are good unless...it is an Irish Wake. Prayers to the Family.

So yesterday our washer imploded. Almost literally. We have one of those black Kenmore front loaders and the drum separated from the outer sleeve on the spin cycle at 900 rpm. So I called Sears up and was given two choices.
  • Have a tech come out for $75, diagnose the problem and we pay for repairs
  • Give them $350 then and there and enter into a one year maintenance agreement,

The deal with Sears used to be it was something like $130 to roll a truck and you pay for it. So anyhow, having already repaired the washer once and seeing parts prices I rolled the dice and took option #2.The tech showed up today and was concerned that the parts that needed to be replaced were not covered by the ten year warranty. As it turned out they were. Bad news is the only thing not destroyed was the motherboard and control panel in the the washer. We now have three very large boxes en route to the house the I need to find room for. The parts cost for the washer totaled over $1,200. we will have a near new washer when this is all done.

I feel like I dodged a bullet (or two or three)
