I can understand what you are saying but if it is JUST A JOB or IF IT IS A GAME..... Why does the Government feel they need to get involved???? You have to remember.... each of those fans warming those cold seats paid WELL to be there and they expect the BEST. It is ...in ways ...as bad as paying to hear Willei Vanilli or what ever the name is...sing... not lip sync. I am a Steeler Fan and 5 games in a row from basically the same team that brought home a ring? ? ?  Something is wrong .... more in the Management of the team and sub teams as it is what may be some hard feelings in the locker room. I am and have always been a Steelers fan... and will remain. We buy the Steeler Gear and buy the tickets and stock the parties.... so if there is a bit of grimace... the fans paid for it with hard earned dollars... A game? maybe.... but they get paid well to produce other things than excuses. I expect them to be beat.... very few perfect seasons ...but even this would be unacceptable... at any Team HQ. So if the Coaches are mad.... why shouldn't the people who PAY them be as well??

I don't know why this has happened... am not privy to the inside. I can't make excuses for them but.... on the other hand.. I don't want them to give me any. I look at it this way.... the remaining games should be as important as the PRE SEASON ones.... see who is delivering and cull the rest.... tenure be damned. Gramma always seemed to have a hen in the pot on Sunday.... always the one who wasn't providing the eggs to go with the bacon.  :o

Please...Please remember that it is just a game and the players are just entertainers...are payed very very well to entertain...it is a Job to them (most will admit to you that it is a Job)...just like you have a Job (I hope)...so Please do not get Mad...Angry...Pi$$ off...when a team you like or support does not Win...Just remember it is only a GAME...Get over it...the players do...move on...there are more important things in your life to worry about (I would think)...it is fun to taunt and play at...make fun of...with others...but when it is all said and done...remember it is just a game... ;) ...IMO

Not mad... I am just saying.... if McDonalds starts serving up super horrible food, the money stops flowing into the business. The SPORTS teams rely on the Money... no money and the franchise loses it's luster and ability to attract. THAT money comes from.... the fans.... the Corporations that help fund also get THEIR money from... yup... you guessed it.... fans. If Nike spends a ton to advertise ...it takes those who are willing to BUY and sometimes it is the sports team/figure that generates that interest... Right now... do you feel like buying Nike Brand because of Tiger or.... would you buy the contraceptives and his partners used? ? ? The consumer drives the market.... if not...why are BS Zhu Zhu pets..originally $8-10, now $60-70. Those stadiums need a steady supply of full seats... A Game?? Hmmmmm

SO now we have our legislators inquiring on College Football???? WTF? Economy? Health Care? maybe a war or two? Our Priorities are Back Assward maybe??

True Lock, but a W is a W, the scoreboard says so. :o
Anyone here use NFL Red Zone - Live. It's awsome. Most cable and dish systems offer it. It's on for 7 hrs each Sunday starting at noon.
First off no commercials! They cover all the games, and show ln real time action when teams get in the red zone, or there is anykind of spectacular play. If more than one team is in the zone at one time they flip back and forth, or split screen the games. So while watching the Steelers today, I could switch to the zone during timeouts, or breaks in the action to see what the other teams that are in the wildcard race are doin.
Check it out next Sunday. Its worth it.

Yea it was so funny at the club last night when the Packers took a 6 point lead with 2minutes to go. All the Steelers haters were cheering... I said it aint over til the Fat Lady sings. Well she sung with 0:00 time on the clock as Mike caught the game tying TD pass and then Jeff Reeds game winning extra point. They got really quiet while all the Steeler fans were jumping with Joy.. That TD pass resembles the pass that Holmes caught to win the Super Bowl..

I have never seen them cut it THAT close.  Talk about the nail-biter of all nail-biters.  My husband kept saying "it's over" but I kept telling him "but this is how they roll!"

Has anybody done the math as to what weird combinations would have to happen for the Steelers to make the playoff. Assuming they beat Baltimore and Miami of course.

I think if Miami loses there next two, which of course the last game is against the Steelers, and the Steelers win there next two I think they may be in. The Steeler-Miami game is going to make the decision.

I ain't gettin' my hopes up. But it's fun watchin' a game like that! I was drivin' my 18 year old nuts by alternately rooting for the Packers and Steelers on alternating plays. He syays he hates watching football with me, but the big screen TV is in the living room - sooooo what choice does he have?

XD

I'll agree that the game was a good one to watch.

Was it me or did it seem like there were a lot of close games around the league.

Oh, and the Eagles easily clinched their playoff birth.

Congrats to the Eagles. New Orleans and Indianapolis appear to be the teams to teams to beat this year. We just have to watch and wait now.
