I realize it is early on, but do you see a quarterback controversy in the near future. Lefwitch has been considered the choice to go the first four regular season games. But after one game, Dixon outperformed. He completed 6 of 7 passes for 128 yards and ran for 6 times for 31 yards. Lefwitch completed 6 of 10 for 43 yards and did not run the ball. Both QB’s were sacked once. The talent level of the defense should be considered. But maybe a flip flop is in order. Perhaps starting Dixon against the first team defense in the next game would give a better evaluation. What do you all think?

Play them as needed. One might be more on today than another one. The bench has always got a hot potential on any given day.

Sounds like a Brown's philosophy.

(sorry - couldn't help that!)

Dixon. Leftwitch has a history of injury and he can't run like Dixon. Maybe use both as situational quarterbacks.
I don't like the fact that they are calling Ben the starting quarterback. These guys deserve the chance because they didn't screw up like Ben did. Or is there no honor anymore?

Browns looked good Lock  ;)

article about it in the pgh post gazette today, suggesting use both as needed. that would make it harder for opposing teams to figure which one would be playing, ie: practicing . ::)

Wow. I can't believe that:
  • I watched the Steeler game, albeit in a Sonny's BBQ
  • That I am the first person to post after the game.
Dixon looked good. Leftwich looked good.
I'm still thinking the Browns or Bengals are the team to beat.  ;)

In last weeks Sports Illustrated magazine Peter King predicted the Steelers would win the super Bowl. Whoa!

Any predictions on the upcoming season?
I am hopeful that they go 2 and 2 the first four games of the suspension.
I predict a 9 and 7 season and quite possibly out of the playoff picture.
