Below is but just one site this story has hit. Last night I had a chance to see Ed Begley on the verge of going ballistic when questioned by Bill O'Reilly ( or was it Stewart Varney??) . I think the "Living With Ed" show should be rethought. When he was confronted with the article, you would have swore someone peed in a dead relatives ashes.
 
If this is shown to be FACT and there were deals for money and power.... maybe the money and "power" should be relinquished.... I look at this.... from people like Gore down to laws made by particular Legislators.  AND add on to this.... ANYONE in our Government that allowed/s this to have affected ANY laws or regulations on our lives. I am talking about Treaties and International "agreements". I could go on and add to my "hit list" but I will wait. This crap has affected our ability to make a living...if we even have one now and has increased the prices of a lot which we need to live, let alone the extras we sometimes look forward to.
 
I don't need to hear about the clean air or water people... At no time in my life was I in danger of any dirty water to drink (sans military) and short of a funny taste... it was pure enough to drink. Our air in our valley is much better.... thanks to all the MILLS we no longer have in which to have an acceptable standard of living. SO now we ARE breathing cleaner air but can hardly pay our bills let alone CHRISTMAS. Progress...RIGHT???   
 
Basically...if this is proven to be a "PLAN... STAN" let heads roll and "blood flow".

While i have no reason to believe the information isn't true, you have to approach such a story (or in this case, an editorial) with a certain amount of skepticism when it lists this source:

Look for what you want... find what you want but.... this appears to have legs and this just didn't start in England... AN AHOLE who will take your money and yet NOT DEBATE... Red Flag!... It is shown that we have an increased number of Polar Bears..RED FLAG... Any chnages out multi million year old planet is not from the Bi pedal occupants of the last tens of thousands of years.
 
I think there is just as much good evidence against this rush to economically cripple us even more than there is to kill our cars, grab up the cfls, quit eating meat and lower our standard of living. When push comes to shove..the "Greedy" America has given to mankind, much more than it took. I refuse to let anyone convince me we are inherently evil people. Several times, we were... as a country... in a position to "eat everybodies lunch, and yet we didn't.
 
So...we will see where this plays out. I think we will be surprised...after all, even John Edwards was brought to his knees...no ..not by his BABY MOMMA but by the NATIONAL ENQUIRE. Go figure..

I suppose it's an ad hominem argument to point this out, but it's a web site run by a car dealer in virginia who admits he the only "science" in his educational background is a minor in political science.

And about half of his links are just to other bloggers who type their opinions while wearing their bunny slippers.

I never said the proprietor was a climatologist. I didn't see where the site was owned by  a car dealer from Virginia either. There is some stats there that are certainly compiled by what I would consider credible sources. Of course with the alleged filtering of data that means credibility of any scientist or agency is potentially questionable.

So ...following that same crap ... maybe we should also consider policies stuffed down our throats from an administration who has never held a real job other than Lawyer/Politician. Tesla was NEVER, NOT, NADA college educated.... he educated himself...so anything he said should be read only by those of us in Bunny Slippers??

I am going to wait as they pick through the EMAILS written by...hmmmmm those who are supposed SCIENTIST but yet seem to be brushing away tracks that just might locate their real agenda. I don't care if the guy is Captain Kangaroo...if he is offering up evidence or questions.... is that a bad thing? Credibility is onbly gauged by the degrees you have?? Where is Madoff when you need him...   Dr. Kevorkian..hmmmm

He has some links to official sources that are fine and informative, but there's just as many to blog-type sites. It's not a matter of ignoring them because one disagrees, it's that they generally carry no more authenticity or authority than something any of us would write here. Just 'cause it's on the innertubes doesn't make it true.

The creditable trusted news sources can't always be trusted, especially when there is an agenda to be followed.

I'd take some hard evidence from Captain Kangaroo, why not? Two kids with a camera exposed ACORN.

Being wrong is what the ECO Warriors are always calling anything that goes against their grain...I think the proper question is....
 
"So.... whats the plan if the "car dealer" is RIGHT??? IF he is as would be the premise of those Emails..... what would YOU propose be done?? Blow it off? Like they are now trying to do with the afformentioned Emails....  What we have here is a standoff.... Truth VS Money Hmmmmmmm

It's an interesting social situation. The human pollution aspect is undeniable. The total effects of human pollution are what's in question. No matter what side we choose to believe is going to place us at odds with the other side. In the end there's going to be name calling or blame will be cast on the incorrect camp in one form or another. The global warming juggernaut has a full head of steam and will probably not disappear until it is unequivocally proven right or wrong. My question is what are the motives of the people that are driving it. The fact that young scientists who cast a dissenting view are not receiving grant money. Why? Grant money funds a great deal of scientific development. Those developments eventually turn into a business or policy model at some point. So if the developed model is threatened, should it attempt to choke out anything that might threaten its existence? So we have a global warming environmental policy developed that has spawned an entire industry where a LOT of people stand to make a LOT of money. If any contradicting data were to come to light to threaten it, the only course of action would be to squash anything that might place its very existence in jeopardy.

I have usually found the truth lies somewhere "in between" two points of view in an argument. I'm all for the environmental friendly products as long as it makes sense. There are lots of "environmentally friendly" technologies out there that aren't  friendly at all, but there's money behind it all.
