yep, the truth is you just never know what might come up in life, "saving for a rainy day" is a virtue too often forgotten.  as much as we dont like to think of difficult times, pondering them can help us get through tough times by way of making better decisions in the first place.

Ok lets run this down.... "only way to buy"? ? ? Say...... I have a pound of gold..... and I need to buy something.... toothpick to a car..... Do you recall... "What the market will bear" ? I picture buying a weeks worth of groceries or a month of electricity for  one oz. How many months does that give you? ? ?  Gold is of no value in the end. Silver, Diamonds...the same. This is why non anglo civilizations saw this and scratched their heads when these crazy White People ran around seeking this yellow metal instead of what really counted.... POWER and SUSTINENCE. We made gold what it is today. We became an animal that likes "bright shiney things" similar to a crow that hoards tinfoil.
 
Prediction folks.... when and if the feces hits the reciprocating device.... the most expensive and most sought metal will be..... lead. Small amounts WILL help you acquire.... FOOD, WATER, SHELTER, CLOTHING.. (gold)     and in enough amounts...SECURITY.
 
So... CLW... maybe you want to publish your address? ? ?  .... seriously now.... never let anyone know you have a supply of valuables or have access to such. Those with lead will "trade" with you. Just keep your family as secure as you can.

Gotta agree - gold don't count for much in a hungry society. Food and security are the by-words for our species' physical survival.
