  • Honk if you've not seen a gun fired from a Harley
I have been following this story since it came out a while back. One of my friends was the local justice who intially had this POS in front of him. This has been going on for a long time... Here in Mercer County we had one of these P'sOS who did the same thing and ended up with ONE year in Allegheny and became familiar with "Bubba". I don't think he returned here after the year.

In case you all don't know it..... many Veterans Affairs Directors in the PA Counties are now either doing this or thinking of it.... Buying those markers made out of...... PLASTIC... because of these pukes. Mercer County continues to buy the metal ones... aluminum now, instead of the original bronze.

I not only fault these thieves but also some of the scrap dealers. Before handing ANY money to these thieves...they should physically check the load. Grave markers that are stolen.... or better yet cut up but yet recognizable and in that load should be reported before money changes hands. On the back of those markers is stamped "Property of..... " (a gov't entity). I have gone to yard sales and even flea markets and have turned in ANYONE selling them. It is illegal.

Now, when this Puke is tried.... I hope the Court Room is filled with Veterans with jackets and shirts identifying them as such. Every Veterans Post/Chapter Service Organization in that county should have representation warming those pews. If not...then they get what they deserve... people who not only disrespect living veterans but the dead ones as well. Nice huh???? Justice Rossi got this started...hope this judge teaches the lesson well. Good luck Crawford County.... You have a good Veterans Affairs Director there, let him know how you feel. I am sure LTC. (MC Ret) Cunningham will agree.

He should be sentenced to live with my father for a few years. He'd learn the meaning of the word "respect" the hard way.

Ebbert, who is free on $100,000 bond

???  10 grand to get out, right? Who paid that, because he certainly wouldn't try this if he had $10,000 laying around.

I can't imagine how bad plastic would look. Regular plastic will fade or crack over time. That recycled composite they make decks and benches from barely looks like wood let alone metal.

the bronze ones are so classy and solid. The aluminum ones tend to have a reddish-brown tinting on them, but it's still not the same.

While trying to straighten a crooked flag or two in cemeteries, I've also noticed the holes on them are slightly larger than the threads on the metal rods in the ground. They don't fit, so they always sag or fall over unless you wedge electrical tape or splints in the gap.

it's horrible that vets end up with cheap alternatives just because a punks without any morals found a great way to get a few cents of scrap money from a sacred object.
