It will get some use. However it's 84 miles from Tampa to Orlando. This train will not stop at any theme parks either. That means you will have to drive to the train station, pay for parking and pay for train tickets. Once in Orlando you will have to get transportation to where you want to go or rent a car.

That's a lot to do when you could just drive 84 miles and have a car when you get there.

I think the parks will work out shuttle transport, no?  It certainly would be in their interest.  Like if you have passes it is free or  there will be a small fee.  If I'mdoin the whole touristy thin, I'd prefer it to the stress of drivin into the unknown abyss of the 8-lanes, ya know?

I'm sure they will have transportation available to/from the parks. I'm sure it will all be gratis to the consumer. The train is supposed to eventually get to Miami.... some day and some billions later.

Everyone flies into Orlando from all over the world.
The hotels and parks pick them up at the airport and shuttle them to their hotel.
Then they shuttle them around the parks.

This already exists.

...and most people don't fly into Tampa to go to Orlando. Or really, go from Orlando to Tampa, except for Busch Gardens and they have shuttles for that.

....the Tampa-Orlando "high-speed" line is the initial segment of the Tampa-Miami designated 'high-speed" corridor....

....interesting to note that there is a designated "high-speed" corridor running all along the densely populated east coast from Maine....

....terminating in............... Jacksonville :-\ ....

....one would think the function/purpose of an inter-regional 'high speed' rail system was to facilitate the citizens in the nation's most densely populated region to transit to the nation's most winter resort-dense region....

....on the other hand- it seems very few are have heard of/are knowledgeable of the commuter system build by sparsely populated New Mexico, pre/sans-stimulus ;) ....

So - it begs the question: Why?

Wait - I think I know. See - they build a $20B rail system in a low laying area and then justify cap and trade even more so by stating they need to pass it in order to keep the water levels from rising enough to destroy their high speed rail system . . . thus protecting their investment.

The logic is flawless!

I think he's subcontracting to the Sharon sewer authority to flush out the rest of the deadbeats. After that I think he is going to explain the barn collapse at the fairgrounds. (just kidding) He  seemed to fall off the map, but then so did a lot of other people when cnhi pulled the plug.
