I feel bad for his family.... any loss in a family is a shame.
 
I feel bad for his constituents because... just maybe...the cash cow has stopped.... Airport for 20+ people and mostly flights to and from DC comes to mind.... as just one thing. Defense contracts for friends/supporters and relatives .... another story. He loved saying that that was the way they do business in Elected office. I guess that makes it all right?
 
Being a Vietnam Veteran myself.... his service in Vietnam was honorable..... in politics... iffy at best. A Marine does NOT do Marine Dirty Laundry in public( am not a Marine but served with them while in SVN)...but especially do NOT accuse ANY Service Person of Killing indiscrimanently unless you have the proof. Those Marines he accused never got an apology and I real guess .... never will now. Maybe "Chesty" Puller will get that from him when he stands before him. We won't go into the "ALMOST" bribe he was caught on cam, negotiating in ABSCAM.
 
Sooo condolences to the family and now we have a vacancy in the House. Term limits can be permanent.

Well - there ya go. I wonder what'll happen to the Hiram G. Andrews School now? (That was his baby.) Question becomes - who will represent the fine folks of Johnstown now? I mean - they really LIKED Murtha - so now what?

Interesting... of all the gleaning I have done on this...the man has been dead one day and all I see in caps is the DEM fear that his still warm seat will be filled by a GOP. Nice to know you are missed  ::) ... You can't even trust the Devils you know, to do the right things when the time comes....

I hate to see anyone pass away. I can't see Johnstown from here but I bet the vultures are already circling. Must be some really good eats there.
