Taxes
« on: March 07, 2010, 09:08:05 PM »
I hate doing taxes. It's like doing Chinese arithmetic to me. I'm also kind of disappointed that some of the deductions I used to be able to claim just ain't there this year either. Time to resift and re-evaluate things.

How I hate filing! Bleeeeccch!

Save yourself the agony. Give it to a tax person.(not H&R) a good local that might come recommended by a small business owner you know.
You eliminate the April depression, then you only have what to buy for who for Xmas to be bummed about.

Mr. Zip uses one of those Tax Cut programs.

Liberty Tax service is good and they have a Wii you can play with while you wait, to de-stress.

If you tell them I sent you they will give me a Wii. :)

Wii like that. :)

I agree 115%!!!!!  Mr. Who keeps a nice file drawer all year and in February some time, takes it in to the accountant, he calls and says come sign and it's all so very painless.  And we've done much better for it!

I've been using taxact. It's been really good. It's still frustrating though.

I used to take it to someone. I think my frustration is that the deduction limits have gone up for what can be deducted. I'm out in the cold on some things this year.

I think the whole thing is a $%&#@* scam. Especially the shifting codes and deductions. It's STUPID!

Steeyoopid.

I'm a proponent of a fair tax. This is what you pay. Period. Be it a certain percentage, a national sales tax, or whatever.

When I look at where taxes are (and the are everywhere) the more irritated I get. I don't mind certain government services and finctions. And I don't min taxes to a degree/ It's the absolute EXCESS we have right now that pisses me off more than anything.

And don't get me started on Social Security taxes . . . .

cant blame it on the IRS. Congress passes the laws, the IRS figures out how to collect em.
Want a bummer. File quarterly tax statements. Once a year becomes an inconvenience.
