That is true, it is $100.00.  I worked with Mrs. Ewig and Rob at Toteline, and  went to school with all of the Prenatts.
My gut feeling is that the Prenatt family is
waiting for more news before the obit is put in.

You could not ask for two nicer families, and I hope they did catch someone.  As far as the dog, always unconditional love and protection.  God bless both families in this horrible situation.

Perhaps they figure that is the last shot they get at you. I know mine will prolly be in there days on end just to let people know that I'm finally gone and won't have to put up with me anymore. There will be people come to view just to make sure it is me!  ;D ::)
   Lock ,you are too funny..

Remember the good ole days, Lock, when
we didn't have to lock our doors, and we
could send our kids to the park on
bicycles by themselves?  I still can't
believe this whole thing happening here,
and it is truly heartbreaking for the
families, I'm sure.

I was told last night that they took a guy into custody last night on the murder of Laurie and Todd and now they say on the news that they have no suspects? Got a call that they let him go for whatever reason and now they can't find him. Just makes no sense!!!

remember, whats reported on (or to) the news is not always the whole story...it's complicated, and will probably be a shock when this all plays out...

Rubarb, rumors are just that - rumors!
I am just as happy they don't release too much right now. It is better this way than to bungle the investigation by rushing it. I am sure it will be shocking to see who is responsible for the death of these two nice people.

Yes Wanda, times have really changed. Today it pays to carry concealed. Look at the crazy stuff that happens in the Walmart stores today. You cannot let your safety go unguarded anywhere.  ::)

This is very true Lock. I hope they get this person so these families can have some ounce of closure. Like Wanda said these are two wonderful families they come from. It's very upsetting for all that knew them

I know a guy who claims to have SEEN him cuffed and taken in.  He emailed me about it this morning.......Then later this evening another guy tells me he was told the same guy was arrested.  I told him we (mr who and I) alway s thought he was a nice guy.  Quiet.  Did some work for us years ago and we were pleased.    He said he had gotten mixed up w/drugs since then.  Anyway...heard three different stories in three separate parts of the county today and all had this guy involved as being arrested related to this murder thing.  All rumors still I know.  My neighbor right across the street is a state trooper and we had a state trooper here tonight (due to a theft on the neighboring chunk of land which is getting ugly) and I was so tempted to ask but knew I'd get nothing....but still......I'm babbling.

Seriously? So you can't feel totally safe these days around here shopping or working around your yard unless you're packing deadly force? If so, it's a false, misguided sense of security you hold.

Yes Jayhawk, I know you are always on my ass about anything I say but I will say this much; I do not feel insecure because I DO carry concealed. Apparently you don't see the mounting everyday crime around you. Wake up It's here and getting worse. Don't you understand that two young people have just been taken out,,,in their own home!   >:(

Jayhawk, what planet are you living on right now?
Shootings in schools, churches, homes, personal
vehicles, businesses.  I carry a licensed gun, and
also sponsored a free seminar for how women can
learn to protect themselves without a gun.

In this care at point, I think the disadvantage was
that she knew the person who shot her, and
probably let him in the house. Just an assumption
of how he got in.

Jayhawk, don't know who you are, but some
advice: not too wize to argue with Lock.  He is really considered the patriarch of our forum, and we all respect him tremendously.  Drugs overcomes common sense, and that was his whole point.

If I could offer some advice to women who may
need to protect themselves quickly:  take your
index finger, and the middle finger, and go right
for the attacker's throat, just as hard as you
possibly can.  I always carry my car keys, and
they can surprise someone if you aim right.
No one really knows how they would react until
the situation comes about, but I feel that my
22 could definitely change the pitch of a man's
voice!
