Help CLP WIN $50,000 with your vote

Blue Streak Coaster at Conneaut Lake Park in the Running to Compete for $50,000 Pepsi Refresh Grant

The 2010 Pepsi Refresh Project is a grant program that awards $1,300,000 each month to the projects in each award category that receive the most votes from the public.  The Blue Streak Restoration Project has qualified for the July voting period.  The ten projects in the $50,000 category that have the most votes as of the end of July will each receive the funding.

Go to www.refresheverything.com/conneautlakeparkbluestreak  to register to vote. There is no fee to do so. You can (and should!) vote every day.  The leader board on the website will indicate the ranking of each project. You must be at least 13 years old to vote.

Work has begun and is progressing on the Blue Streak. But, as was explained at the Coaster Convention on June 24, the reconstruction progress is exceeding the funding. Help us earn the votes we need to qualify for the grant by voting every day, and spreading the word to others.  Let’s get the Blue Streak back on track!

You probably should tell people that once they sign in, they have to go back to the page and actually hit the Vote button again.

Hey, everyone, I have a .pdf of a flyer that can be distributed about the Pepsi grant program, similar to what they gave out on the Kaylee Belle, with the text changed to explain that you have to log in then click on the Vote tab for the vote to count.  Anyways, there's three on a page, so you cut them in strips.  If anyone can use these anywhere to display or hand out, please post here, and I'll send it to you.

You can vote pretty much as often as you want every day using firefox.  Make sure you have the setting to delete browsing history when you close firefox.  After you vote you simply close firefox and reopen it again to vote back to back.  This can be continued on and on.

That scares me....I would think they would be wise to that.  This is on the Refresh Guidelines:
Limit one (1) registration per person/email address regardless whether you are registering as a Voter or as a Participant. At the end of each day of a Voting Period, any of the un-used Votes allotted to any Voter or Participant will become void and will not roll over to the next day. An individual can register on the Website as either a Participant or as a Voter but not both. If Sponsor determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, that any Participant or Voter has not complied with these Official Application Guidelines in any way, for example, (i) use of proxy voting, (ii) by registering more than one (1) time on the Website and/or using multiple e-mail or dummy email addresses or (iii) other fraudulent means in an attempt to cast more than the ten (10) Votes allotted per day of each Voting Period or to allocate more than one (1) Vote per day to the same Application, then Sponsor reserves the right to cancel that Voter’s or Participant’s account, disqualify all their Votes and disqualify any Application that they have submitted and disallow any further participation by such individual in the Grant Program. Sponsor may allow various off-site methods of voting for an Application, including but not limited to mobile, widgets, media (by way of example and not by way of limitation, voting through a cell phone).

They have a counter that says how many votes you are allowed per day (10).  We need to use them.  Don't you think the other 30 ideas ahead of us are doing that?
