for some pictures....check out the difference between the 2001 rebuild and this one, and you will see why this one is taking longer and will cost more, but what a difference !!!

thats just a ranking based on the time of submission.....lower numbers (higher rankings) were submitted before us, in many cases June....lower rankings (higher numbers) were submitted after us (August)...they do this at the start of each month to "true up" the numbers from the ones that have one, or the ones that failed to get carried over. In the meantime, votes are still being tabulated, even though you don't see it in the count....it appears as though the leader board is ready to go, maybe as early as tomorrow, so I hope everyone has been voting. We are in a very competitive category, and need everyone to vote every day, get the word out, get in the top ten as early as we can....we made good progress last month, and had we had an earlier start, I think we could have nailed it....we have great momentum, and a great start to August, but we can't relax until 9/1.....so keep going, no matter what it looks like, it wont be long until we find out where we are actually at, and anything less than the top ten means we have a lot of work to do...

#1 baby !!!!! but vote like last month, when we were 15 and trrying to get there....don't get too comfortable here...get some new blood signed up, spread the word the leader board is working (now it will update every half hour)....txt vote, web vote, vote for Kimmi, vote for American Idol, vote for the biggest loser, vote for Top Chef, and most of all......

I discovered that you can also sign in to cast 10 votes per day on the Pepsi Refresh the Gulf Coast projects.   A few people from there have left comments on the Blue Streak page that they've voted for us.   I didn't see a place to look up their projects by name, but did see that the Pittsburgh Zoo is in 1st place in the $25,000 category to help take care of sea turtles.  Maybe we can pick up some cross-votes from there while supporting another worthy cause.

don't get comfortable yet....a long way to go...we can do it, but we can't let up, so don't forget to vote....it's easy to see where we are, and think it doesn't matter if I don't vote today, but it does...so keep spreading the word, keep voting, keep voting for others and ask them to vote for us...they started laying the track late last week, it's getting so close I can hear the clickety-clack of the chain running now, but don't get lazy, we won the first quarter, but we still have three more to play....don't let that great start go to waste....
