Fast Eddie's magical mystery bus tour
« on: August 07, 2010, 02:35:48 PM »
So the gov stopped in the valley yesterday, apparently loopy on diesel fumes from his bus.

He stood along buhl farm drive at highland and lamented how BFD needs so much work but there's no money. Really? Looks pretty good to me, and i think it's been paved since 1997, the date he cited.

he spoke of how raising license and registration fees because they haven't been raised on a long time (not as long as he things, and they were practically doubled last time) and because drivers just naturally expect the rates to go up. Oh, really? We do?

He then went on to say how investing in roads and bridges is what he considers "good government spending". Agreed.

And, eddie, if you want to see examples of BAD government spending, look no further than all the pork projects (like millions toward buildings to honor arlen specter and john murtha, pork monuments to pork purveyors) that STILL made it into the supposedly already-cut-to-the-bone budget you just signed. Some of that money would pave a lot of roads.

I hope he goes back to private practice after this lame duck season is over. That and instigating snowball attacks at Eagles / Cowboys games.

He was in the valley...YES but the rag didn't say how many people showed up...... I suspect your hands were enough to count them, minus the ass kissers in his circle. He is dangerous and yet avoidable.... he is on his last leg and even those in his party know a cardinal rule to not grant budget increases to a Lame Duck. It could come back to bite them after King Edward is gone...

And no.... this puke will not become just a practicing LAWYER again. I suspect his tenure will give him a slot on the Obama Administration Train. He was a head of the Dem Party and thus drank the Kool Aid as Jim Jones ( Bam Bam) instructed. PA will survive without him. Our roads are already slated to be crushed up and paved with gravel but the people of the Burgh and Philly will still have to accept the increase in price or losses in SEPTA and PATCO. With a $28 Billion budget.... the belts will have to be tightened.... and this so call stimulus money ...if any....directed in it's intended manner.
