And what about the non-crazies, huh?  The ones who believe in what the Koran holds as much as Christians believe in what the bible holds?  What ever happened to freedom of religion in the United States?  What about those young men and women that are ALREADY in harms way?  These assholes at this church have been told that there is uprising there over this......they are threatening our soldiers over there because of this......and what is Terry Jones (head asshole supreme) answer?  We're praying about it?!?!?   I watched him on TV this morning and I COULD NOT BELIEVE what an idiot he is.  I can not believe that ANYONE would follow his lead on this.  Applaud this church?  Oh hell no.  I do not feel anyone needs to "send a message" to anyone.  They sent their message on September 11, 2001 and where has that led us?  Religious Christian radicals are JUST AS BAD as Islamic/Muslim radicals/extremists.  These freaks are behaving in the same manner as any terrorist.

Hmmm non Crazies???? good descriptions... Here is what I wonder..... Why is it that when the "Non-Crazies" who are HONESTLY asked why they don't PRONOUNCE their revulsion of the "Crazies and DENOUNCE Extremist Muslim Orgs like HAMAS, they remain curiously silent or ....... underspoken???? I heard MANY Christian Leaders Denounce JIM JONES and other "leaders" of EXTREME "CHRISTIAN" Leaders...even Reverend Wright, Rev. Moon and Jerry Falwell, when they preach borderline drivel or do disgusting actions.

Doesn't this sound a bit curious to you???

Again... burning a Kuran or a Bible... though not a "nice and brotherly" thing to do..... just doesn't equate, in my mind, death to those that do.... well maybe a rash would be good *S*, but then again....to draw a picture of Mohammad equates a death sentence but a Jesus in Urine is an "art" display at best???? Now I have to wonder which Religious base is "peaceful" in this day and age.

Now, please understand.... I do not follow an organized and "for profit" religion. I do follow one my Grandparents told me about that can be as fulfilling from a quiet time while driving or when kneeling by my bed if so deemed...instead of with the pomp and circumstance of visiting once a week or for that matter, during 2 holidays a year.... Easter and Christmas. We all chase what we feel we need.... one no, better or closer to God than the other, no matter how much is put in the pan or pledged.

My problem with the Ground Zero focus is not religion but paper trails that disallow an ortodox church from REBUILDING on it's original site and the money filtered in from WHO KNOWS WHERE to this proposed Mosque/Community Center/Prayer Center and what ever other name you can lay on it. So many questions and not enough answers..... ;)

I am sorry.... this petition does NOT address the first paragraph of my last post.... Individuals can sign this "petition" but the Religeous LEADERS will not ....in simple terms...DENOUNCE Fellow MUSLIMS in their quest to do Extremist actions when these dregs of society proclaim they do it in the name of Allah and in Muslim Brotherhood.... I have heard the question posed to Muslim leaders and reps and saw a dance start immediately. I can only speak for myself.... I DENOUNCE actions against a religion if it is known to not have ties or intentions in the committing of actions harmfully against man. That statement meant absolutely nothing. IT IS FROM one PERSON, NOT ENTITY. oUR RESPONSIBILITY CAN ONLY BE FOR ONE PERSON..... oursleves. DO I think our Government is Pure and Honest??? Hell no. I have caught them in lies and I have to rely on my Representatives to be the focus of US by others. DO I believe we are the worst??? Not by a longshot. When Mortal man has his "hands" on and in anything, it eventually becomes corrupt and unbelievable. It is at what level we are at that makes the need for change. I always wonder what the signers of the Constitution would think, if they could come back for a year. I doubt they would have a hard time recognizing anything they were involved in. And they would have only been gone approx 225 years....not like the religious leaders of thousands of years ago. LOL I don't recall Jesus having anything of "value" like gold, silver and such but maybe the chalice made of the silver offered for his death???? Now I look at the Bling the Leaders of the Spirit wear, preach in and drive LOL. I don't like what is happening at the other proposed Mosque Sites but again.... I speak for one.... not a congregation or org. This is why it is hard for me to sign a petition.

It would appear that he has his own agenda and seems to be bent on inciting something IMO. Numerous articles like this one are all over the news sites. It seems that a religious war is more important than the current one we already have with various terrorist organizations. It short I thing he's being somewhat reckless and is putting the lives of his congregation intentionally in harms way.

The members I have come across (I would see them at the Y with the ...is of the devil T-shirts, yea, they wore them to school and the gym) had no interest in 'dialogue'. We had Y members leave in disgust, Christians, Hindus. Muslims, Jews...it was just too vile. The funny thing is these people were all mousey and didn't really talk to anyone. A little too on the fringe for me. I tried to talk to a few people but they were pretty antisocial.

Or maybe they thought I was 'of the devil' LOL

Caveat: I was known to wear an AC/DC T-Shirt with 'Highway To Hell' emblazoned in 2" tall letters on the back, but it was ME I was talking about...that's the difference.

If this guy actually goes through with this, we'll then be able to see the true character of the Afghans, Iraqis, Pakistanis, etc.  Then maybe Americans will question what the heck it is that we're doing in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The fringes are an intersting place to be as there's a unique perspective that comes from lesser travelled roads. I've been on some fringes - and wouldn't trade those experiences for anything safer or more conventional.

However -

When the fringes engage is 'zero sum' thought . . . well - that ain't a good thing. Sometimes - it creates the rippl effect of zero sum thinking in the mainstream, which is often times even less of a good thing.
