Just saw that she was arrested at the Detroit airport - trying to leave the county.  Unbelievable.

She is a local woman who has had high drama with the police here in Meadville.  Been to court many times and somewhat of a local lore.  I guess why I care is that it is homegrown.

I really feel for her. Obvious problems, with what appears to be little help from social services to get beyond them. Maybe they have tried. A person can refuse treatments.

Folks that make fun of folks that have a mental illness (also assuming that the folks with mental illness have control over their disease - especially the severe variety which often come with a kind of built in denial that there IS a problem) kinda put me in the mind of folks that make bald jokes at the expense of chemotherapy patients.

At the very least - it's in bad taste . . . .

Characteristic of schizophrenia. Really sad. I have a cousin who is paranoid schizophrenic. She calls me or shows up occassionally and it is so very difficult to communicate with her. Her viewpoint is that the Pittsburgh drug lords are after her, no matter what I say.

I thought it was Haines. My brother says Nike.
