Might I ask a question or so?.... What is the fixation with Jake's Blues???? Is this THEIR FORUM and if so, Why don't the Band Members post instead of using the forum as an ongoing Advertisement/Schedule? It seems this Band is all over the other forum rooms as well.... Now if I have upset anyone, I am sorry, and if this is just an event site, I will post events here as well.
No, I never heard the band and never heard of them, until visiting the forum. Might be a location and age thing. Ya'll stay cool.

The honest and direct answer to your question is this:
Among all of the other things I do in a day, I am also part of Jake's Blues Band. I've been working with Jake for nearly 5 yrs... so I use every opportunity to promote his shows, including this forum, Facebook, his website and more.
I believe the correct "topic" to do that is on this events page. I have, however, taken advantage of the more frequented topics like the CLP topic to reach more people, particularly the Mupeers and people who frequent the forum from Cleveland and other areas.
You know, I promote him, but it's not for him, it's for the people who haven't seen him yet, so they can have this opportunity.

I always laugh when people on the CLP topic start demanding not to go "off topic" with comments...haha... it's NP's forum, not the CLP forum.... but that's OK. We all come for a reason, to interact with each other.
Do yourself a treat and come to the Palms on August 6th to see/hear Jake. I promise, it's unlike any other.
I'll give a detailed specific description if you want, but you have to see a show to "know". 8 thousand came last Tuesday, because they all "know". ;)

I have talked to Jake about "imposters", like "the Jake's Blues Band"... haha. I've been associating "Jake Banta" and "Jake's Blues" in all of the videos and promotions now because of that.
There's another "Jake's Blues" guy out there that looks like he was held hostage by Krispy Creme for a few years, but he also has a decent measure of talent... I've also heard of a "Jake's Banta" wannabe that performs around the area, wearing the "Jake hat" and more.
There's also a "Jack Adams" out there that's nothing like our local recording artist, "Jack Adams". BTW, "our" Jack Adams had 4 songs hit the Nashville country charts in the 1990's, one made it all the way to #6.
