I don't see where that is a bad thing in its entirety. I remember fishing on the lake as a kid and of course the fisherman were always complaining about two things. First the boats that were going too fast that were spooking the fish. Then they'd also complaining that it took too long to get from one fishing spot to the next. So I guess it comes down to common sense a matter of being courteous to fellow fisherman

I don't know about now, but the The lake is not hazard free either. There are lots of submerged trees near the surface. Did I just make the mistake of saying common sense somewhere?

Living in Florida where there are boat-a-plenty and water everywhere

You are right NP. I still have to dodge submerged stumps in the upper end of the lake ,,,,,and those are just the ones that are visable. I don't really mind the raise in horsepower. I just mind the nuts that will misuse it! 8)

I would venture to say that most boats had illegal motors on them.  As of late the Fish Commish have been cracking down on engine size especially during fishing tournaments.  They actually fined someone with a 30hp with 9.9 stickers!
