So when is opening? I keep hearing updates that it's moving along pretty good, but nothing definitive.

We got some stuff from there last night, yummy.

NP,,,,your report was right on. We had burgers there a week ago and they were delicious. No fat or grease dripping out of them. Steak and Shake might just as well move on down the road. 5Guys is gonna take over the burger sales around here I think. The fries are fried in peanut oil and are not lardy or greasy . My favorite burger joint! ;) 8)

Glad to hear it's open. For me it's worth the extra couple of bucks to not suffer and actually enjoy my meal rather than take on the "well, I had to eat fast" mentality.  We usually get our stuff to go and eat at home. It's an occasional treat we enjoy about once every 3-4 weeks.

So my fries came from Sugar City, Idaho past night. If you notice in the board they tell you where the spuds cam from up on the board.

Here's an odd complaint....Mr Who says they give you too many fries.   How is it one can have too many fries?

we went inside and ate for the fun of it.  they have the bags of taters stacked up, sittin' right there in plain sight and some big kid comes out and grabs a huge bag of them and takes them back to the kitchen an starts chopping them up... it did say on the bag but we were to busy  horking down our food to bother to read it .....

yes there were too many fries, and we shared a small order between the two of us...

One large order of fries usually takes care of us and the kids.

I haven't been there yet but that is exactly what I was told.  One order for a few people is plenty.   I do like fries.

I went in and saw $3.19 for a kid's burger. We decided not to eat there. It sounds great - but the family budget doesn't allow for it right now.

They really don't have kids burgers there per-se like the other places. Their small burger is a single patty burger. The regular burger is a double patty. We kind of figured out that if we did drinks at home it came out close to even price-wise. I'm trying to get the kids off the happy meal "I really want the toy" thing. So if I can sway them over to something that is better quality and quantity, has no toys and costs me literally $2-3$ more per outing then I'm on board with that.

We don't eat out to much so take out is pretty much the treat for us. Yes, I'm being selfish under the cloak trying to get the munchkins to eat better food.

Wife and I ordered one large frie for us both. After putting them in the bag, he took another small stainless steel pan full of fries and dumped them in the bag. Very good but too many. Our dog had a small order when we got home. :)

That's how it is at all of them Lock. I hope the place does well. It's not exactly the best of times to be opening up an eatery.

I was hesitant about eating there. A friend of mine said he paid over $9 for a burger, fries and a coke  :o   I jusy cant see paying that much for a burger when I can go up the road and get a Steak dinner for that price but now since I have heard good reports on the place and since Lock gave it a thumbs up and said he would revisit the joint I think I will give it a shot...

Yeh Gator, it is a good burger place but I won't eat there often. I paid 17.%%  for a big Bacon burger, a small burger, one large frie, and two mediuum drinks. Too much. You are right about the steak up the road.   ::)

Sometimes, for me at least, the right bacon cheeseburger beats the average steak dinner hands down...

Anyone who has seen my slender figure will tell you that I eat at least "semi professionally"........ ;D

I have never tried Five Guys, but they have one on the Pitt campus. I may have to make a short pitstop on my next daughter run......
