Visa debit card
« on: September 27, 2008, 10:13:38 PM »
I found a NC visa debit card in Greenville today while getting gas at Sheetz's. How do I find the owner (who by now is prolly crazy with not being able to cancel it until Monday) I just wish I had a phone number for this person. What would be best to do? ???

What bank?  or company? Maybe just call the 800 number on the back of the card and let them know.  Sadly that person probably left town to go back home and stopped for gas again and was SOL in more ways than one.

Kimmi... I just called that 800 number and the owner had already cancelled it out. I am slow today. I should have thought about that 800 number sooner cause I know there is one on the reverse side.
Yeh, the person will be without cash access for a little while.
White pages told me the person lives in Irwin, PA down by the Burgh. I called and left a message. Thanks for your help. :) ;)

Typically the bank offers up a $50 reward for tuning in a card. Well, they used to anyhow. Call up the 800 number on the back and tell them you found a card. They will tell you where to send it. Most likely the owner has already reported it lost (if they know it's missing)

NP,,,,I called that 880 number and the lady asked what the card number was and name. She said it had already been reported lost. She asked my name so if something else was charged I'll prolly be blamed! Well, I could have used it to fill my gas tank, but didn't. She said just cut the card up and throw it away.  ::)

Thank goodness it was you that found it and not some dishonest person.   Hubby lost our Debit card a few years ago but no one ever turned it in or tried to use it.   We had to cancel it and get new cards reissued.

BUSY BUSY BUSY and I am feeling crappy right now.   We had our house insulated last week and it took a week - glad that is over with.   Just been really busy with family stuff.   Thanks for asking.
