I just gave my 7 Springs girlfriend "Cupcake", her Valentine present - an "all natural" organic vegetarian dog biscuit.  Again she washed my face with kisses - just wonderfull!   :)

I really think VD is cheesy but if you celebrate I hope you had a nice day with someone you love.  I worked then we all went out for wings.  Butter and garlic....YUM!  Next a movie and SLEEP.

When my wife's mom passed away, she wanted to replant her mom's roses from Michigan. It didn't work out because the root stock was not hardy enough. On top of that, when we moved, the kids knocked down her mom's garden stone and cracked a corner off of it....

Fast forward 5 years....

For Valentines day I fixed the garden stone, and bought 2 rose bushes, a bag of Michigan peat and 2 bags of mulch.

I spent Sunday afternoon with the family preparing the ground and planting the roses as a memorial for her mom, and placed the fixed garden stone in the newly planted bed.

She seemed happy...

Kids gave me some great homemade cards.
