I still miss Texas.  One snow a year and it's gone by 10 am.  If you water your lawn, you mow it.  If you don't water, You shoot the rattlers off it.  Sometimes shoot the rattlers off it even when you do water as well.  Hat and mittens come out when it's below 50.  Let's not even talk about how the yards get mown to begin with or how the well they can drive in inclimate weather.  YEEEEHAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I've heard how Texas is a complete shut down with just a little freezing rain!  No mail.  No banking.  No buses.  Nothing.  A little snow and there is zero signs of life!

CLW that happens here too!!  Although ice is a real bitch!  I would rather have a foot of snow than a 1/2 inch of ice.

We got 24 inches of snow during a freak snow storm in 2000.  The temp the next day got up to 65 degrees.  Very few plows so everything started to melt and then freeze up that night.  I was out of work for 9 days straight!!  Major roads were clear but not side roads.  That was so rare.  Last year I saw it snow for 5 minutes.
