I think it starts at 6?  Anyone going?  Anyone going to be in it?  (It's supposed to rain all day Saturday).

I see rain on the forecast Friday, Saturday and Sunday pretty much non-stop.  Guess I'll just go to work.

I have my car listed as avaiable for parades.
Yesterday (Friday) a young mother called me and ask if I would haul her child in the Meadville parade and I told her I thought it looked like it was going to rain. She got kinda upset like, Soooo?
I told her I would check for sure on the weather and get back with her which I did. It is forcasting rain for Sat., Sun., Mon., Tues.,and Wed. with snow showers possible on Tues. I told her.
I explained to her that the top would have to be down also and I didn't want the interior wet or the carpet soaked. She still acted like "so what's the big deal, it is an old car"!
She explained to me that she had another car lined up but the guy called her and said the car had broke down. I told her his reason was prolly for the same reason as mine. I explained also that we do not take our cars out in the rain intentionally. I am truely sorry about the rain as I really do enjoy hauling the kids. She was rather indignant sounding about my refusal but ya gotta draw the line somewhere.    :(

lock, its obvious she doesnt "love" your roadster the way you do! she probably doesnt even wash her own car! i know you care for your baby way more than most people do their everyday rides! should'vd told her thats why your "old" car is available to use for parades because you dont drive it in the rain!

Yeh pest, she prolly didn't understand. I called her at 4pm today to see if she still needed a car and she said she got one. 4pm the sun was shining and the weather report changed from rain to cloudy with a 20% chance. I could have done it for her afterall if I would have known it was going to be nice. I don't blame her for getting someone else. I'm happy for the parade goers that it isn't raining. Not good for floats either. :)
