Okay Firefox users

The Mozilla foundation unveiled a rather interesting add-on for firefox today call "lightbeam" Lightbeam promises to "illuminate the inner workings of the web." It uncovers which third-party companies are watching your online activity. The most obvious things are brands and advertisers looking to share your data or directly target ads.

As you know I uses google ads to augment the cost of running this place and yes, google does track you. I suspect you all know that already.

So anyhow if you use firefox you can download lightbeam here. Once you download and install lightbeam you simply have to go to the tools/lightbeam tab and see who's eyeballing your activity.

Anyhow, if you're interested in knowing that sort of thing this is a convenient tool to do it with.

If you are still using IE... well shame shame shame on you.

As an added note the CNHI (tribune and herald) sites are passing us around faster than a bottle of nighttrain express moves at a high school bonfire.
