Well the REAL ID Act has surfaced again and has the potential to really screw up travel plans for a LOT of people depending on which state you live in.

This is the price we pay for accepting foolish and misguided laws written by those who claim to be aiming to protect our freedom.

Along those same lines, Pa. had a voter ID effort overturned by the courts. Which is too bad, because as we all know, for every 5 or 10 million votes cast in Pa., 1 or 2 are suspected of being fraudulent.

Nonetheless, proponents saw voter fraud as a life-or-death matter and wanted voters to prove their identities at the polls.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, when Pa. officials proudly announced that you now can register to vote just by going online. All you need is the number of something that says who you are. Like one of those driver's licenses that you can get without having to prove your citizenship.

Interestinly enough, since I posted this Snopes (which is questionable sometimes) updated and article discrediting this story.

However according to this page from the DHS, a different story is told.
