Not being familiar with the inner working of government (meaning first hand) at the level operates I find it amazing this is happening the way it is. It's like a passive-aggressive, yet it other ways  openly hostile rebellion against Trump because he's not following internal protocol.

Well if it is (and am about 100 percent sure it's not) then there has been a serious security breach somewhere. I really doubt someone succesfully seeded the white house lawn with usb sticks.

Another trade deficit record under Trump.  Trump is the best advocate for China......  Now back to football on my Chinese made TV.

Fact still remains... China needs us more than the other way around. Americans purchase MORE from them than ANYONE and the Chinese buy way less from us. If it gets to the level where WE will buy similar products from other sources... it will hurt the Chinese economy even more... The best outcome is for BOTH sides to eliminate tariffs and then level the field. China and other Far East Countries..( Korea, Vietnam, Taiwan, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos etc.) are finding that their workers are pushing for HIGHER wages and benefits...

Henry Ford was hit with this... He eventually knew he had to give a wage that would allow even his workers...the ability to afford the product he made.... It opened up more consumers in our country... Eventually this will adjust and...maybe then you and those who hate Trump so much will understand..it isn't credited to any in Washington but rather the changes brought on by the PEOPLE. People run the economy with their ability to use their wallet. Simple economics. Besides I am not ready to buy a Lada/Volga/Hongqi L5/ Changan Raeton CC, or even this one.. TRUMPCHI GA8...  just yet LOL

Saw an article yesterday that Harvard is now paying their employees ( non- professional ) a middle class wage and the changes it is bringing to the community, being able to step up to Middle Class. Encouraging.

A short story about wages.... I had a friend (since passed on) He was a Korean War Vet. He started a construction business upon his return home. Well the years passed by and the business grew and he was on his second wife. She bore him a son. He grew up in the business and his father had him eventually work for him when he was a teen.... Inthe beginning..he explained to his son... just because he was the son of the owner DID NOT mean he was going to be paid more than his worth. So... he started him out BELOW MINIMUM WAGE. His reasoning was that until he learned the jobs he was involved in...he was NOT worth the scale. So..now years go by, he learns and is paid well and accordingly... His son is now the HEAD of the Company and can do and understand EVERY job he has his employees do. That being said..why do you think that a Brand New Burger Flipper is worth $15/hour??? There is NO rule on the book that states that you can only have one job. I worked 2 and I have a friend who worked EVERYDAY at 3 jobs one full time and 2 part time. Days off and a vacation are not guaranteed... LOL 2 $15/hour jobs means $30/hour... or is my math off??

First, your math is off, unless you can work BOTH $15/HOUR jobs at the same time. That's a rate, not a sum.

Salary/wages/ compensation is dependent on many factors but an opinion on 'perceived worth' is not one of them. There are HR specialists who work in compensation. Paying workers so they have more money to spend as Ford did, is a GOOD THING.   In some economies, $15/hour may be a high salary; in others, it is poverty level.

Secondly, here's a story about workers and the  generosity of bosses:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+20%3A1-16&version=NIV

It's Called the Parable of the Workers from the Bible. This is a hard parable to understand for many Americans.  I think the boss' generosity is incomprehensible to some. 🤔😊

Play with words if you want..you knew perfectly well what I was saying 2 jobs get you the EQUIVALENT if the $15 per hour job...you have to be willing to do time...
And those workers on that Ford line KNEW their jobs beforehand...I am sure
My point was and has been...if you want MORE money..work more...if the job you have doesn't fit your bill...move on or get trained...
And for the Parable... EVEN I have the common sense to have figured it out a lot earlier... The problem is looking at the money ALONE and not figure in the TIME... So ..cute but is a story that calls for a bit of intelligence and common sense...
If I need $1000 to pay all my monthly bills...why in hell would I work a job that pays me $500??? I have a choice... find a better paying job or.... now get this epiphany .... get an additional job.... A SUM is needed to pay a TOTAL... Math was good... understanding the point was the bad part... picayune comes to mind.
